How about a staycation?....

Contrary to childhood beliefs a staycation is actually a holiday and has become increasingly popular over the years. No one cringes at the idea of a staycation anymore or what was considered back then as punishment.

For those of you foreign to the word due to your consistent luxurious 5 star holidays, it's literally what it says on the tin. It's a holiday spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions; and no it's not for poor people or the less fortunate but more of anc alternative.

You don't need tons of sun block, a beach towel or the wind brushing past your ears as you quad bike the dunes of Dhabi to have fun. (Although that sounds exhilarating, there's a time for that and a lot more options to be considered).
